Description
All the family will love this adventure day spent in the tropical jungle, on a pristine beach, and meeting animals in a local wildlife sanctuary.
First, the jungle element. After hiking through stunning trails, you’ll ascend a tower towards your first zipline of the day. And, not that we like to boast, but where else can you experience the longest zipline in Roatan? There’s not just one line - you’ll be able to enjoy 16 zip courses, check out the landscape as you whizz along over 7,000 ft of lines, and try out some tricks if you’re feeling brave. Upside-down flying, anyone?
Back down on terra firma, you’ll be driven by your expert guide to the next stop on the day’s agenda, a cool sloth and monkey hang out. Here - unlike many other reserves of its kind - you can interact with the animals, holding and petting them and even posing in the perfect photo opp. Everyone back home will be jealous of you making friends with Capuchin and Howler monkeys, and that shot of you hugging a sloth - it’s definitely Insta-worthy. If birds are more your style, there are ample opportunities to spot some of Central America’s favorites, including macaws and toucans.
After all the excitement, a trip to one of Roatan’s best beaches is the perfect way to catch your breath. Here, you’ll have free time to sunbathe, chat with fellow travelers in your select tour group - there will only be 15 people maximum on your trip - or take a dip in the ocean, where you might just spot some tropical fish.
Of course, just like you’re picked up from your cruise dock or hotel in the morning, you’ll also be dropped back around 5 hours later when the tour ends, knowing you’ve experienced the best of the best Roatan that has to offer.
