About Falmouth, Jamaica
Falmouth is the capital city of Jamaica’s Trelawny Parish, and is a popular tourist town on Jamaica's north shore. It has a busy cruise ship terminal that drops keen travelers off for a day of exploring in a well-placed location between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. The town itself is very walkable and several walking tours are available to give you a deeper insight into the area.
Just outside the cruise port gates, you’ll find yourself in the historical center with many bars, restaurants, and shopping opportunities. Take a walk up Falmouth St which will take you to the heart of the Old Town, Water Square. For tours that are a bit further afield, like Dunn’s River Falls and Martha Brae Rafting, you’ll need a car but most Falmouth Jamaica excursions include transportation so you can sit back and enjoy the journey!
